Police Blotter: Two Larcenies on Hanover Street; Residential Burglary

The following are recent incidents reported by Boston Police District A-1 for the North End / Waterfront area.

06/17/18    4:26pm
Victim reports while inside a Hanover Street market, he put his Android tablet on the counter while making a purchase. The victim turned to leave the store and realized the tablet was gone. Security footage to be reviewed.

Burglary / Residential
07/02/18    8:25am – 5:45pm
Jackson Avenue burglary to unit being used as an AirBnb residence. Break-in damage to the rear sliding door and a bathroom window. Removed from the home were two iPads, Kindle, jewelry, Playstation 4, wallet with bank/credit cards, backpack and Beats headphones.

Larceny / Shoplifting

Police Officers responded to a Hanover Street pharmacy for a larceny in progress. On arrival, the manager reported a male suspect had stolen numerous hair products from the store and fled on foot.

  1. What’s up with the hair care product thefts? Either a thief with a real bouf or some new way to get high.

  2. To many assults, larceny and burglaries lately in the North End from outsiders what is going on where is the Police presence at night?
