Representative Aaron Michlewitz will again sponsor the annual North 2 South Baseball Classic between the North End and the South End on Sunday, June 24th and Thursday, June 28th. Youths ages 9 to 12 from the North End Athletic Association (NEAA) and South End Baseball programs will compete again this year.

This year the games will be held on Sunday, June 24th at 1 p.m. at Langone Park on Commercial Street in the North End and then on Thursday, June 28th at 6 p.m. at Peter’s Park on Washington Street in the South End.
Both neighborhoods are represented by Representative Michlewitz as he came up with this idea prior to being elected. Both neighborhoods have strong baseball programs and great kids – this was a perfect way to get them together.
Players from both sides will be given special North 2 South Baseball shirts and hats, and will also be treated to pizza. At each game there will be an MVP chosen from each team. The North End MVP award is named in honor of long-time NEAA volunteer John Romano. The South End MVP award is named in honor of Jason Burrell, a long-time South End Baseball volunteer.
If you want to see some good baseball and, more importantly, see some great kids from two wonderful neighborhoods have fun and play a game they all love, stop by to one or both of these games.
