Eight historic neon signs will be displayed on the Greenway this summer as part of a light-based art exhibit. The signs are currently being installed, including this one from The European, formerly located at 218 Hanover Street. The European was an “institution for a generation”, as Nicholas Dello Russo wrote in his Life on the Corner column, which includes a 1948 photo displaying another tradition sign.
