“A Taste of Ginger” Raises Over $215,000 for Joslin’s Asian American Diabetes Initiative

North End Waterfront residents Marian and Leverett Wing at Joslin Diabetes Center’s 14th annual A Taste of Ginger

More than 300 supporters and foodies turned out for Joslin Diabetes Center’s 14th annual A Taste of Ginger benefit at the Museum of Fine Arts, co-chaired by North End Waterfront resident Leverett Wing.

The event raised more than $215,000 for Joslin’s Asian American Diabetes Initiative (AADI), which was founded by Leverett’s parents, Lawrence and Evelyn Wing. Leverett himself helped to set up the very first A Taste of Ginger and has assisted in its growth into one of Boston’s most anticipated culinary events of the year.
