Carol Troxell, President of the Faneuil Hall Marketplace Merchants Association, passed away last Tuesday, January 16.
Carol had been working at the Marketplace since the 1980s. She was the owner of five businesses there: Sprinkles Ice Cream, Quincy’s Place, Kilvert & Forbes Bake Shop, L’Attitude Boston Boutique, and Grasshopper Sweets and Creamery.
She was also the driving force behind Blink!, the holiday light and sound show, complete with the area’s largest Christmas tree, that makes the Marketplace a popular holiday destination.
In addition, Carol co-founded Pitching In For Kids, a nonprofit that supports children’s charities in New England, working closely with the Red Sox and Ron Burton Training Village.
