12:00AM No Rest for the Wicked Funny. The Improv Asylum on Hanover Street is holding it’s annual marathon performance starting Thursday night and ending Friday at 7PM. Ticket buyers can come and go throughout the 24-hour period and proceeds will benefit Globe Santa, a charity run by the Boston Globe Foundation that delivers presents to children in need.

12:30PM ABCD Center Holiday Party for Seniors. Join the ABCDE Center for their Holiday Party for Seniors at 1 Michelangelo Street. The party is free to attend, but please call 617-523-8125 to reserve your spot.

2:00PM Elf Movie at North End Library. Join the North End Library at 25 Parmenter Street for their Friday film showing of the 2003 holiday classic Elf, starring Will Ferrell, James Caan and Bob Newhart.

The travel website TripAdvisor recently released it’s list of the 20 most visited restaurants by travelers and locals in Boston during 2017 highlighting the North End’s own Pizzeria Regina, NBC Boston has the full round up.

12:00PM “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” for charity. Join WZLK-FM in Faneuil Hall as a number of organizations get together for charity. The event will feature a blood drive with the American Red Cross, photos with Santa, entertainment by Greater Boston School of Dance and Life of the Party, and toy bins set up for donations to the New England Patriots Toy Drive.

12:00PM STEAM Saturday at North End Library. Join the North End Library at 25 Parmenter Street for an afternoon where kids will partake in various science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics activities. The Saturday children ages 6 and younger will have the opportunity to design a snowflake, see additional details here.

  1. What is happening with the regular Monday (Christmas Day) North End trash collection? Happening, canceled or postponed?

    • There is no trash or recycling pickup on Monday, December 25, Christmas Day. The next trash and recycling pickup is Friday, December 29. There is trash/recycling pickup on Monday, Jan. 1, New Year’s Day (along with tree collection).
