As the North End cycle track project (finally) comes to a conclusion, some of the finishing touches are being made. In the last week, the popular benches returned to the city-owned Atlantic Avenue space between Commercial and Lewis wharves, overlooking Boston Harbor.

In support of year-round bicycling, the City of Boston has prioritized resources toward the plowing and salting of its cycle tracks. They are wonderful. So happy to have them back. I love to look off my balcony at all the people sitting on the benches watching the birds, the boats, the water and generally absorbing the atmosphere of our Waterfront. Ahhhhh …..
Yes, yes, yes , we welcome the benches. We older folk need a place to rest if for only a few minutes, and it comes with a good view too!
