Based on the classic by C.S. Lewis, NARNIA, is a musical presentation of this unique, enchanted world filled with creatures and spirits, intelligent talking animals, and the battle between good and evil.
Narnia is ruled by a great lion, the majestic King Aslan, but, in his absence, the evil White Witch has seized power and imposed a perpetual winter, one which never leads to Christmas. Four English school children are plucked from our world in unexpected ways to become caught up in an epic battle between good and evil, in which they are key players. They learn lessons of courage, unselfishness, self-sacrifice, friendship, and wisdom from their Narnia odyssey.
The NEMPAC Music Theatre Troupe was founded in 2011 to give children and teens in the North End a quality, affordable opportunity to be trained in acting, singing and dance. Students meet weekly on Friday’s after-school for rehearsals at NEMPAC. Students are directed by Stage and Program Director, Allie Meek and Music Director, Alexandra Dietrich.
Coming up next this season is the Charlestown Working Theater and the NEMPAC Music Theatre Troupe collaborative production of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” being performed Dec. 3/4th and Dec. 9/10th, tickets are available HERE.
