Lyft Driver Threatens Assault With Metal Pipe in North End

A Lyft driver became violent and threatened a couple with a metal pipe near the corner of Hanover and Clark Streets in Boston’s North End. Boston Police confirmed a Globe report that the argument started when the passengers were dropped off after midnight on Sunday night. The couple called the driver back to retrieve items left in the car. A fight ensued over money when the driver threatened to hit one of the passengers with a metal pipe. Lyft said in a statement that they have suspended the driver.
