There will be a community meeting to discuss proposed improvements to the Paul Revere Mall (Prado) between Hanover and Unity Streets in Boston’s North End. The meeting is scheduled for October 19, 6:30 p.m., at the Nazzaro Community Center.

Veterans Day is November 11th. We thank all U.S. military veterans for their service. The Veterans Day Parade will begin at 1PM on Boylston Street at Charles Street with marchers ending at City Hal Plaza. Businesses and shops are open or closed at their discretion.

George Takei (Sulu) Beams Down to North End’s Prado

Was that really George Takei, aka Star Trek’s Sulu, on the Paul Revere Mall (Prado)? Residents thought so on Thursday afternoon and the pictures clearly show the helmsman of the USS Enterprise was touring the North End with a costumed Paul Revere / colonial guide. New Tree Arrives at Prado

A replacement tree recently arrived at the Prado, likely to replace the Linden that recently fell in an October storm near the fountain. The Prado is currently fenced off from the public as it undergoes renovation. Video by Matt Black.
