Marquis Health Thanks North End Nursing Home Steering Committee
As they prepare to take over the North End Nursing Home & Rehab Center, management from new operator, Marquis Heath, hosted a small dinner at Lucia Ristorante to thank the local steering committee that fought to keep the facility from closing. Read more here.
Government Center Garage Redevelopment “Bulfinch Crossing” Update at Residents’ Association (NEWRA)
David Kubiak, a member of the North End Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA), shared updates on the Government Center Garage Redevelopment at the last NEWRA meeting. In addition to a new garage, Bullfinch Crossing will see new retail spaces, a hotel, residential towers, and an office tower. Read more about this project here.
Officials Meet to Boost Security Measures on Feast Weekends
Local officials representing the North End / Waterfront met Thursday morning at City Hall with Boston and State Police regarding stepped up measures to maintain order in the neighborhood during the upcoming feast weekends. Madonna Della Cava 2017 Feast Sunday Procession [Photos]
Last Sunday was a picture perfect afternoon for the 97th Grand Procession in honor of Madonna Della Cava as part of the annual feast in the North End. The MDC society brought out the image of Maria SS Della Cava, Principal Patron of Pietraperzia, Sicily, and processed until dark throughout the neighborhood. See photos here.
