Neighborhood Photo: Former Mayor Ray Flynn at Fisherman’s Feast

Former Boston Mayor Raymond Flynn and his wife Kathy visited the Fisherman’s Club over the weekend at the 107th Annual Fisherman’s Feast. In the Boston Herald, Flynn writes:

What a great celebration in Boston’s historic North End last weekend as thousands of people came from all over to attend the Fisherman’s Feast. Bands marched and music and the aroma of Italian cuisine filled the air. We sang Italian songs at the Fisherman’s Club and said a prayer at the Shrine of Madonna del Soccorso di Sciacca. To top the day off, we had a delicious dinner at Ristorante Saraceno on Hanover Street, where I told some patrons how Frank Sinatra and Al Martino loved to visit the North End. Everyone wanted to hear about Bill Clinton at Mike’s Pastry and the night of the 1983 mayoral debate between the colorful Freddie Langone and myself outside Burden Drug Store.
