St. John School Students Receive First Holy Communion

On Saturday, May 6th twenty two St. John School students celebrated their First Holy Communion with their parents, grandparents, family members, Principal Karen McLaughlin and their teachers, Ms. Grace Miller and Ms. Meghan Murphy. The students were receiving the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist for the first time at Sacred Heart Church in the North End.

The boys looked very dapper in their white and blue suits and the girls were stunning in their white dresses and veils as they went up the aisle with their hands together in prayer eagerly awaiting receiving communion.

Rev. Antonio Nardoianni, O.F.M. and Rev. Claude Scrima, O.F.M. administered First Communion to the following First Communion Candidates:

Miguelangel Alamo, Piper Alstrom, Maya Bedingfield, Piper Benedetto, Alexander Bozikovic, Daniel Chan, Michael D’Ambrosio, Michael DeLima, Peyton Mainey Fabiano, Ireland Monahan Fisher, Legend Monahan Fisher, Clayton Kacich, Victoria Keohan, Colette Love Leighton, Claire McNicol, Gabriella Merchant, Michael Nguyen, Kate X. Salmeron, Anthony Sapienza, Sydney Serpa, Robert Joseph Talbot, and Leah Yozu.

“I am so proud of our second grade students on receiving their First Communion,” stated St. John School Principal, Karen McLaughlin.  “The children worked very hard throughout the year learning the importance of the Sacrament of Communion and receiving God.”
