The Nazzaro Center ski program enjoyed its second Friday night trip to the Blue Hills in Canton on the Friday of February vacation. It was a bittersweet trip insomuch as, despite the great conditions, the warm weather was causing the snow to literally melt right out from under the skis of the 39 participants. This was the third stage of the Nazzaro Center’s extensive ski program. The first was the inaugural outing of the season, to these same Blue Hills, followed by a day long trip to Pico in Vermont. Next up will be the season’s penultimate excursion to Waterville, NH and then the grand finale – an overnighter to Killington, VT.

The Center’s decades-long ski program has been the springboard for many North Enders into the sport of skiing and boarding. Due to the very affordable costs (no more than $25 for any one day trip!), families who wouldn’t ordinarily be able to afford this high-end hobby have experienced it first-hand. If your child has never tried skiing or snowboarding and would like to give it a shot, there is still plenty of room on our Waterville trip on March 11. For a mere $25, your child will receive a lift ticket, all equipment, a lesson, and a motor coach transportation! Just call the center at 617-635-5166 and ask for Carl. (Sorry, but the Killington trip is fully booked.)
