The ABCD North End/West End Neighborhood Service Center (NE/WE NSC) held its St. Patrick’s Day party on Friday, March 17th. Nearly five dozen members of community, almost all of them seniors from the neighborhoods, came to the center at 1 Michelangelo Street in the North End to feast on festive green pea soup, corn bread, shepherd’s pie, cookies, and coffee.
Senator Joe Boncore visited constituents with his legislative aide Luigi Natale. Silke Evans, well known for her musical performances for weddings in the area, played traditional Irish music on the piano, accompanied by the elegance of Victor Brogna’s trumpet. Victor is also an Advisory Board member of the NE/WE NSC and is active on the North End Nursing Home Committee. The center is grateful that they both make time in their busy schedules to entertain the seniors, staff, and volunteers!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Would you like to join the fun? Please call the NE/WE NSC directly at 617-523-8125 to reserve your spot for future luncheons, which the NE/WE NSC will advertise in advance. New clients must sign up to obtain free membership with ABCD.
