Peace on the Boston waterfront? Not this year

There was once hope that the New England Aquarium and developer Don Chiofaro would find common ground for his $1 billion Harbor Garage redevelopment proposal. Not anymore! Citing that the construction of the proposal would be a threat to the Aquarium and their nearly 40,000 marine animals.  The Boston Globe has more on the feud that sends another hit to Chiofaro’s quest.

RFI for civic and cultural space at Lovejoy Wharf now available; site visit on December 15

A Request for Letters of Interest (RFI) was just released by the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) to occupy and run the interior space located at 131 Beverly Street at Lovejoy Wharf. The space is a requirement of the project’s Chapter 91 license which is designates the space as a visitor’s center-style facility, where the general public can obtain information and orientation materials, and must be made available to community groups for meetings. 6:30pm Winthrop Square Development Public Meeting at Suffolk Law School, Tremont Street. Boston Planning & Development Agency public meeting on the proposed development of 115 Winthrop Square in Boston, proposed 750-foot tall project.
