Each year the North End Christmas Fund, which is made up of members Social Service Agencies in the North End, raises money to provide a little Christmas Cheer to Families and Seniors in the North End that need help. It is not always a financial need, sometimes a person may have had a tough year with bad health or lost a family member or spouse or something similar.
The members of the Christmas Fund reach out to these North Enders and send a letter with a check to help lift the person or families spirits at the holiday and let them know that their community is thinking of them and cares about them. Last year we sent out over 300 checks. Also, throughout the year the Fund provides help to North Enders who may be in need, if there is a fire or another great loss or something along those lines, the Christmas Fund is there to help out!
On December 15, 2016, we are holding our one fundraiser which is the North End Christmas Fund Luncheon. The last several years we have gotten sponsors for the whole cost of the luncheon. We are looking for a couple Donors to cover the cost of the lunch which is $2,500. We already have one sponsor and are looking for a couple more (Donation needs to be in the $500 – $2000 range).
We know that not everyone can contribute in that price range, if you would simply like to make a donation of any amount or purchase a ticket for the luncheon (cost $20 per ticket), checks can be made out to the North End Christmas Fund Luncheon – email me separately or call me and I will connect with you.
