November 5th: North End Premiere of “Boston’s North End: An Italian American Story”

St. Stephen’s Church on Hanover Street will be hosting a free showing of the highly anticipated documentary, Boston’s North End: An Italian American Story. The event is open to the public and will be held on Saturday, November 5th, doors open at 6:30pm, reservations are required and can be made by visiting NorthEndBoston.org, or by calling (617) 877-9330.  Special seating for senior citizens. Also, no food or drink is allowed in the church.

The film was produced by the North End Historical Society, marking the first feature length, high definition film to chronicle the vibrant Italian American community that has called the North End of Boston home for well over 100 years. The documentary movie is based on historical records and interviews with Italian American North Enders and their descendants, ranging in age from 7 to 94, from around the Boston area. “Boston’s North End: An Italian American Story” Film Now Available on DVD.

  1. Have seen the movie and it’s wonderful and fascinating for all North Enders, whether here for generations or just this generation.
    Note that the showing is on Saturday 11/5, not Sunday.
