Sexual Assault on Greenway; Police Seek Help to Identify Suspect

At about 4:11 am, on Monday, September 5, 2016, Boston Police officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a call for a report of a sexual assault in the area of State Street and Atlantic Ave.

According to the victim, she was walking through the Greenway in the direction of the Carousel when an unknown male suspect approached her and sexually assaulted her. The victim describes the suspect as either a white or white Hispanic male, believed to be in his 40’s to 50’s with scruff on his face, about 5’5” tall, thin build, wearing a dark-colored Bruins jersey and a baseball hat. Victim further states the suspect fled in an unknown direction after the assault.

Boston Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault in the area of Atlantic Avenue and State Street.

The Boston Police Sexual Assault Unit is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with any information is asked to call detectives directly at (617) 343-4400.   1. I know that the minute I post this someone is going to accuse me of blaming the victim, but a female walking around alone at 4 AM anywhere in Boston is not a wise idea.

  2. Did the Police happen to mention one of our Neighborhood Small stores was robbed at Gun Point the other day or night?

    Did the Police happen to mention a guy jumping from roof to roof on Thatcher St. who was trying to rob apts.? They
    caught him & he was suppose to come

    from New York.

    How many robberies & murders have to take place before we have enough Police Protection?

    We the residents, don’t know the half of it. A lot of incidents are kept quiet for the sake of Tourism.

    Once again, Where the Hell are our Elected Politicians? Are they being forced to turn their heads the other way? If not,
    what the Hell is going on?
