Nazzaro Center Sent Down to Pawtucket

The Nazzaro Center day camp was sent down to the minors but, unlike with most other moves to the Red Sox Triple A affiliate, it wasn’t a demotion.

For years now the North End Athletic Association (NEAA), led by President Teddy Tomasone, has been optioning the popular Little Tykes Day Camp to McCoy Stadium for an afternoon of professional baseball.

This summer, 50 campers and staff, along with a few NEAA officers, took in the July 27th game pitting the PawSox against the Rochester Red Wings and they witnessed a 3-0 shut-out of the Minnesota Twins minor league affiliate.

The Center would like to thank the NEAA, and particularly Teddy Tomasone, for not only arranging this special field trip every summer, but also for all the other countless ways the NEAA, in its 56th year of existence, provides recreation, education, athletic programs and a link to the very roots of the North End for today’s youth.
