North End Annissa-At-Large Day on August 18th

City Councilor-At-Large Annissa Essaibi-George is excited to announce her eighth monthly “Annissa-At-Large Day,” on Wednesday, August 18 in Boston’s historic North End.

“I’m so excited to spend the day in the North End, the rich history and culture, fantastic food, public space and of course all of our friends and neighbors, make this neighborhood such a treasure for the whole city,” the Councilor said.
During Annissa-At-Large day the Councilor spends a full day in one of Boston’s neighborhoods. She visits with constituents where they work, play and gather in community centers, libraries, schools, parks, and business and municipal locations.

“My goal is to stay in touch with people in each neighborhood so I can help ensure that the city is doing what it can to enhance the quality of life in each neighborhood. That’s how I can best serve each of Boston’s diverse communities,” she added.

Annissa-At-Large was born of the Councilor’s determination to deepen her connection to every neighborhood in Boston. She has spent an spent an Annissa-At-Large day with constituents in East Boston, Mattapan, Jamaica Plain, Brighton, South Boston, Roslindale and Roxbury.

“Each neighborhood has been a learning experience,” the Councilor said, “communities have so much in common, their pride, their passion for their neighborhood, but they all face unique challenges and it’s great to learn those first hand.”
