Even though it was a chilly weekend morning, families still came out for the annual playground celebration at the Christopher Columbus Park tot lot.
The Boston Fire truck is always a big hit. In addition, Ann Babbitt read stories to the kids, Kindercare director Mary Beth Sweeney hosted a craft table and State Representative Aaron Michlewitz came by with new sand toys. Organizer Meghan Denenberg also thanked her helpers, including Erna Lawrence and Margaret Warner.
“A big thank you to all the families and kids showing up in the not so Spring weather!,” said Denenberg about the free event at the park. “The playground is ready for the season!” she added.
