Three Things to Know for Tuesday, May 10, 2016:

1. Vote! The Special Election for State Senate is today: Democrat Joe Boncore will be on the ballot for the First Suffolk & Middlesex District to fill the seat vacated by Anthony Petruccelli. No other party has put forth a candidate on the ballot (write-ins allowed).

2. In the news:  These are the most popular Italian restaurants in Boston, according to check-in dataCould it be true? The North End did not post the top Italian restaurant in Boston, the South End restaurant, Cinquecento Roman Trattoria officially took the top spot. Not to worry, Lucca on Hanover Street and Trattoria Il Panino on Parmenter Street represented the North End in the top 10. This data is collected from the check-in app Swarm, via Boston.com.
