The 23rd Taste of the North End was a blowout with over 600 attendees coming out on Friday night for the banner fundraiser to support neighborhood charities. Over 40 restaurants, pastry shops, beverage suppliers and distributors donated their time and scrumptious offerings to support the annual event at the Steriti Memorial Skating Rink. Hosted by founder Donato Frattaroli and NEW Health CEO James Luisi, all proceeds go to benefit community non-profits including North End Waterfront Health, the Eliot School, St. John School, North End Against Drugs, North End Athletic Association, and North End Music and Performing Arts Center.
Receiving awards this year were Lt. Governor Karyn Polito and restauranteur John McGee of Mamma Maria. Master of Ceremonies, Billy Costa, was on hand from NESN’s Dining Playbook along with several local and cultural officials. Additional organizers included Event Coordinator Zachary Goodale and the Event Committee: Donato Frattaroli, Gianni Frattaroli, Daniel Leonard, Mary Wright, Maria DeNapoli and Patrick Lyons.

Great photos, as usual, Matt! Fun night. Good food!
Great photos, Matt.
My understanding is TONE was founded by Nancy and Donnato Frattaroli almost 24years ago following a visit with a father and his three daughters who were staying at Casa Montecasino while the daughters were receiveing medical care.
You may recall the original cuse was to support Casa Montecasino. Nancy also coined the name which has remained, Taste of the North End.
The first event was held in the Saint John’s School. Kudos to Nancy and Donnato for 23 years of a great community benefit.
Your pictures are absolutely the best. I have looked at each and every one of them! I hope to attend this event next year!
