The North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) will hold its monthly membership meeting on Thursday, February 11, 2016, 7:00 p.m. at the Nazzaro Community Center. NEWRA encourages all North End/Waterfront residents to become active members and participate in neighborhood meetings. Meetings are open, and all are welcome! Rep. Michlewitz Updates North End Residents on Holdup of Short Term Rental (Airbnb) Bill

Rep. Aaron Michlewitz appeared before the North End/Waterfront Residents Association (NEWRA) Thursday evening to give an update on the short term rentals/AirBnB legislation. Gov. Charle Baker sent back the Mass. legislature’s bill to regulate and tax short-term rentals (AirBnb, Homeaway, VRBO, etc.) in the beginning of August after formal legislature sessions have concluded for the year. Dozens of neighborhood residents enjoyed the annual summer social gathering organized by the North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA).  With the high profile mayoral and city council elections coming up, many candidates and elected officials were also in attendance.
