For the first time in 47 years, and quite possibly for the last time ever, there was football played at Fenway Park and Nazzaro Center members and alumni were all over both the playing field and the stands. Living the dream of a lifetime were TJ Shea, Solomon Taieb (both BLS Class of 2016) and Zachary Taieb, Class of 2017. These three Varsity football players had the chance to play their final game of the season (for TJ and Solomon, their final high school game), on the Fenway Park field, which had been converted for football in order to host the BC-Notre Dame game a week earlier. Along with three other pairs of high school teams, the Boston Latin and Boston English teams, the oldest continuous high school rivalry in the nation, played their final regular season game of their 2015 schedule. As usual, the stands were full of BLS alumni, but being in the Fenway Park grandstand for this game was something special. And the Nazzaro Center people who were there fully appreciated that fact. If this does happen to be the final football game ever played at Fenway, those fans will always remember that they were there. And the three Nazzaro members of the Wolfpack will always be able to say that they played in that final contest. Below are some pictures from the stands and on the field.
