Video: Neighborhood Reports and Urban Renewal Discussion at Residents’ Association Meeting

The North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) held its monthly meeting on December 10, 2015 at the Nazzaro Community Center. NEWRA executives and committee heads presented various reports summarized below and shown in full via the above video. In addition, starting at the 24 minute mark in the video, NEWRA executives discuss the recent BRA board approval for its 10-year Urban Renewal Powers extension.

NEWRA Executives lead a discussion on the recent unanimous approval by the BRA Board to extend for 10 years the agency’s urban renewal powers over parts of Boston, including the North End Waterfront.

  1. There may be an error in the summary above regarding the date of the N. Washington Bridge Reconfiguration meeting. The note indicates December 18, but in the video Maria Lanza states the meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 16. I’m not sure which is accurate but one must be incorrect.
