On Saturday November 14th, the North End Athletic Association held the final session of the 10 Week Fall Soccer Program. This year over 140 children, boys and girls from ages 4 to 12 participated.
“We had a great program with the most children and the most coaches in our 4 year history of this wonderful Soccer Program,” stated NEAA Soccer Coordinator John Romano. With the help of League Director’s David Serpa, Jason Boucher and Juan Guali, the NEAA put together a more formalized 10 week program with specific group drills, individual drills and games against different teams each week.

One of the highlights was a clinic put on by Soren Balea, Head Coach of the Women’s Varsity Soccer Team at Bunker Hill Community College. The coaches and children learned a lot from Coach Balea and 6 of his players.
The amazing season ended this past Saturday with a medal ceremony at the end of each age group, the coaches gave each player a medal and then the players we honored as the National Anthem played on the field.

The program was a huge success and this was thanks to the volunteer service of all the coaches and league directors. A special thanks goes to Guarino Vilar who volunteered the entire season to help with set up, break-down and everything in-between.
