Film Preview: Italian North End Documentary Seeking Contributions

The North End Historical Society would like to gain your support for a new documentary about the vibrant Italian-American community that has called the North End of Boston home for well over 100 years.

This unique film is narrated by the North End’s own Stephen Passacantilli and based on interviews with North Enders and their descendants from around the Boston area. It will preserve a way of life that has all but disappeared from Boston. The movie features original music written especially for this project, home videos, and many photographs.

With 95% of the production completed, the NEHS is still working hard to raise an additional $20,000 to complete this digital, high-definition film, including digital downloads and DVD pressing and distribution.

  1. Just viewed the North End Documentary. So excited to see two people that I knew! Anna Gunn-nickname, and Jilda. My mothers friends. Sad to say all are deceased. Can’t wait to see the rest of the film.
