Boston City Council Election on Tuesday, November 3rd – Sample Ballot

Don’t forget to vote in the Boston City Council election on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Here is a sample ballot for District 1 (North End, East Boston, Charlestown):

District 1 City Councilor Salvatore LaMattina is running unopposed for re-election. Similarly, Bill Linehan is running unopposed in District 2 (Downtown, South Boston). District 2 now includes Harbor Towers, Rowes Wharf and Downtown areas south of Christopher Columbus Park.

City Councilor At Large seats represent the entire city. There are five candidates running for four seats, including standing incumbents, Ayanna Pressley, Michelle Wu, Michael Flaherty, Stephen Murphy and challenger Annissa Essaibi George.

There are no party affiliations for city council elections. Anyone registered can vote. See all the candidates throughout the city here.

On election day, polls are open 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

These are the polling locations serving most North End/Waterfront residents:

  • Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennett Street
  • Christopher Columbus Apartments, 145 Commercial Street
  • 41 N. Margin St. – Knights of Columbus
  • Harbor Towers / Rowes Wharf votes at City Hall
