The Old North Church, RUFF (Responsible Urbanites for Fido) and Prince, the cat, invite all North End pets and their owners to the annual Blessing of the Animals Ceremony on Sunday, October 4 at 3:00 pm in the Prado.

The Blessing of the Animals is celebrated each year on the Sunday closest to St. Francis Day (October 4) and honors St. Francis’s love of all of God’s creatures. The ceremony includes brief readings of scripture and prayers, followed by individual blessing for each pet by the clergy of the Old North Church.

The ceremony will take place rain or shine.
