Salon D’Emilio Receives Good Neighbor Award

The Good Neighbor Recognition Award for this month was awarded to Salon D’Emilio at 141 Richmond Street in Boston’s North End. The award was recently presented by Recognition Committee Chair Janet Gilardi of the North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA).

Emilio D’Ambrosio has been doing business at this location for 23 years. He has been a hair stylist since 1974.  In his own words, “I couldn’t be doing business in a better place. I love my clients and I love the North End!”

The Good Neighbor monthly award is voted by NEWRA’s Executive Committee and presented to local businesses, organizations and property owners that consistently keep the areas around their property clean of trash and debris.

“Go Bananas” Moving To Larger Space Across Salem Street

“Go Bananas” is moving directly across the street to 64 Salem Street.  The neighborhood grocery will continue to be operated by Frank Scire who has been on Salem Street for the last 20 years.
