NEMPAC Youth Choir performed at the Hatch Shell on August 5th for Italian Night with the Landmarks Orchestra. The performance was stunning and the experience for the children was invaluable.
The NEMPAC Youth Choir is a collection of singers between the ages of 7 and 13 who are participants of NEMPAC’s Summer Vocal Arts Workshop. The NEMPAC Vocal Arts Workshop includes a vigorous schedule of Italian Language lessons with instructor and North End Resident, Matteo Roncari and Choral Instruction directed by NEMPAC Choral Instructor Alexandra Dietrich. NEMPAC Executive Director Ms. Snow leads the workshop as Program Director and NEMPAC Summer Interns Chris Romano, Kira Peterson and Karissa Coady also take part in leading interactive group activities throughout the course of the day.
“We were so happy to have this opportunity to provide our students with an unforgettable, performance experience – working with professional musicians and directors as well as and being acknowledged by a greater city-wide audience at the Hatch Shell. We are happy to represent the North End and it’s Italian Heritage through our musical performance.” -Sherri Snow, NEMPAC Executive Director & Vocal Arts Workshop Director.
NEMPAC dedicated their performance with the Landmarks Orchestra to their two very special North End friends, musicians and great supporters – Al Natale and Angelo Piccardi.
