The Alvaro “John” Paolo Bocce Court at Langone Park was dedicated on Saturday, August 1st by Mayor Marty Walsh and local officials. The late Johnny Paolo was a committed bocce player and involved in the North End community before his June 2012 death in an accident on Commercial Street.
The Paolo family was on hand including daughter Linda LoPriore who spoke at the dedication along with Mayor Marty Walsh, Rep. Aaron Michlewitz, Councilors Sal LaMattina and Ayanna Pressley.
