Registered Democrats in Ward 3 of Boston gathered at the Nazzaro Community Center on Saturday June, 13th, to elect delegates to the 2015 Massachusetts Democratic Convention.
Nearly 75 Democrats from the neighborhoods of the North End, Waterfront, Chinatown, Beacon Hill, and the South End voted to elect 22 delegates and 5 alternates to represent them this fall at the “Issues Convention.”
Chairman Jason Aluia gaveled the session open at 10:30 AM and welcomed all attendees, “It is heartening to see so many folks here in an off year caucus,” Aluia said, “it is a testament to the commitment that Ward 3 Democrats have to our political process and to our community.”
The Ward Three Delegates will join fellow Democrats from across the Commonwealth on Saturday, September 19th, 2015 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield. There they will discuss the issues and priorities of the party and set an agenda to increase opportunity for all Massachusetts residents.
