Around 2:45 am early Friday morning, two people were killed and another injured in a high speed car crash on Commercial Street. The BMW convertible rolled over, throwing the three occupants out of the car.
The specific location is near the intersection of Charter Street where Commercial Street takes a sharp curve by the Steriti skating rink. The car was going westbound at the time of the accident.
Boston Police said there were three victims—a 27-year-old male and a 21-year-old male were both pronounced deceased at the scene. The third victim, a 21-year-old male, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Update 6/12/2015: Officials have released that one victim was John Connor Darcey, a 21 year-old star lacrosse player at Pennsylvania State University and graduate of Wellesley High. The injured male was also identified as a 21 year-old Wellesley High grad, Harry James. The name of the 17 year-old male victim who died has not yet been released.
Poor kids. Whatever the cause, now is not the time for accusatory remarks. If people are not familiar with that curve, and speeding, the results are disastrous. Horrific accident and I’m sorry for the families.
This is the most bizarre tragedy! The driver of the car died & was never identified. RIP Connor Darcey & glad the other lad is out of the hospital.
