Janine Martignetti Wins First Place in Kentucky Derby Hat Contest

Janine Martignetti took home first place in the Kentucky Derby Hat contest put on by Foxwoods Resort.

Sixty women were entered and paraded by a panel of judges. The 60 women were cut down to 10 finalist and then Janine was named champion in the “most beautiful hat” category.

Janine built her hat from scratch and for her efforts received a prize pack valued at $1000 dollars.

  1. Janine Martignetti is my daughter,I’m happyb to say.! I loved her hat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She just has a way of doing thing’s, like making this hat, from the color of her dress, to match the feather’s in her hat. Her daughter Trinity, has that same talent !!! She can just about do any thing. I am so proud of her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
