Looking to the week ahead after Memorial Day, many cultural and local events are set to round out the month of May. Take a look at some historical events, local meetings, and even having a beer with Paul Revere!

Monday, May 25

Happy Memorial Day! Check out memorial day events across the city of Boston. 

Tuesday, May 26

12:00 – 12:30 pm The Blue Angels will perform a flyover of Boston. The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron will fly six F/A-18 Hornets at least two times south to north on the east side of Boston’s harbor area with a seventh jet flying alongside to take photos.

Wednesday, May 27

6:00pm Book Talk: “Vino, Vino, Vino!” by Renee Trainer at Dolce Vita Ristorante, 221 Hanover Street
Author, Renee Trainer, will be in Boston to introduce her novel, “Vino, Vino, Vino!” – A Tale of Four Generations of Lovable, Unpredictable Italians. “Vino, Vino, Vino!” tells the story of Octavio Schiavone who comes to America from Sicily at the dawn of the 20th century. View the event post.

6:00pm Have a Beer with Paul Revere [Green Dragon Pub, 11 Marshall Street, Boston]
Plot the Revolution with Paul Revere and drink a cold Sam Adams! This two-hour tour brings you the sights and the tastes of the night The Revolutionary War began. Enjoy a pint of beer and cup of chowder with a costumed guide at The Green Dragon Tavern, “The Headquarters of the Revolution.” Purchase tickets.

Thursday, May 28

5:30pm Taste of Boston at Faneuil Hall [Ned Devines]
Join in for a night of food and beers at the Taste of Boston to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank. Held at Ned Devine’s, Faneuil Hall. Tickets available here.

6:30pm Rachel Revere Square Renovations – Public Meeting [Nazzaro Center, 30 N. Bennet Street]
A community meeting is scheduled to discuss upcoming renovations at Rachel Revere Park in North Square. View the event post.

Saturday, May 30

1:00pm Summer Saturdays at The Paul Revere House [19 North Square, Boston]
Special events on Saturday afternoons (1:00-3:00) in May will feature craft demonstrations, historical talks, live music, and more in the Paul Revere House courtyard, weather permitting. Included with admission to the museum. View the event posting.

Sunday, May 31

10:00am Festa della Repubblica Italiana at Christopher Columbus Park
Celebrate Italian and Italian-American heritage the 69th Anniversary of the Italian Republic. Come by for a reproduction of an Italian Piazza, exhibits, entertainment and cafe! View the event post for details on the Bocce tournament.

2:00pm 70th Anniversary of Columbus High School Mass/Reception at St. Leonard Church
Located at 4 North Bennet Place, the class of 1957 will be sponsoring a Commemorative Mass at St. Leonard Church followed by an informal gathering after Mass in the Church hall. We invite all graduating classes of CCHS, Julie Billiart HS and GUESTS. View the event post.

5:00pm Italian Concert at Christopher Columbus Park
