NEAD prides itself in helping others in our community and sometimes beyond. Saturday December 6th members of NEAD help spread some Christmas Cheer in various places in the North End to help those in need. First, as part of the Nazzaro Center Fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis, NEAD member Patricia Romano did Arts and Crafts for children, their families and even some senior citizens, it was a fun for all.
Next NEAD Board members John Romano and Mike Giannasoli visited the Fire Station on Hanover Street to donate two bags full of Toys for the Toys For Tots Program. Later in the afternoon we also visited the Improv Asylum on Hanover Street to bring a donation to their 24 Hour Fundraiser for Globe Santa.
Next Week, NEAD will help out at three more events for those less fortunate: Winter hats and gloves will be delivered to the St. Francis Homeless Shelter, the board will attend the North End Christmas Fund Luncheon to help raise money for needy North End Families and Seniors. Lastly, NEAD will deliver bags of toys to the Columbus Parade Committee Skating event on Saturday December 13th at Steriti Rink.
“NEAD is proud of our service to the North End Community” stated NEAD President John Romano, “our board members are extremely generous and love to help others in need, I am incredibly lucky to be part of an organization with so many caring members.
