Haymarket site bears fruit

The state owned site between Blackstone Street and the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway, known as Parcel 9, will soon be home to a Hotel and retail pavilion.  Offering basic and specialty imported foods to add more to the pushcart vendors of Haymarket, while complimenting the Boston Public Market that will be selling New England focused products. The Boston Herald has more. Phantom Gourmet: Pauli’s In The North End

It is nothing new for a North End restaurant to be featured in the news, but Pauli’s is not your average North End establishment. Serving unusual sandwiches with unique twists fill the menu alongside the classics. Whether it is a 28 ounce lobster roll or a, “Skinny Vinny,” CBS Boston has video and more on the place that will “make anything into a sandwich.”

Urban acupuncture and Boston’s public realm

The comparison from the Greenway in Boston to High Line park in New York City is one that can be hard to draw similarities. Although they are both about the same length, Robert Hammond, co-creator of the popular High Line park, had a lot to say about the quality of the Greenway. “When it comes to the Rose Kennedy Greenway, it’s the little things that count,” read more at, The Boston Globe.

BRA approves 12-story residential building atop old Greenway parking lot

A 44-unit residential building will replace a long-time parking lot at 55 India Street. The Boston Redevelopment Authority board approved the small tower that will hold mostly two-bedroom units, with nine three-bedroom units, and 4,000 square feet of commercial space on the first floor. Boston’s Buyer-Friendly Neighborhoods

The real estate market in Boston today is becoming harder and harder for people with middle class incomes to buy a property to call home, but does that go for all neighborhoods? Well if you make $80,000 a year, it is merely impossible to buy something in Back Bay or Beacon Hill. The North End is almost as bad, with only 1.7 percent of all homes and condos within reach for that income. Boston.com has more.

Downtown Boston Will Welcome a New Neapolitan Inspired Restaurant this Weekend

A new Italian eatery will soon be opening in Boston, although this one will not be setting up shop in the North End neighborhood. Downtown Crossing will be home to MAST’ Restaurant and Drinkery, a modern take on Neapolitan street food and craft cocktails. BostInno has more on the “Southern Italian inspiration with a twist of Old World, European influenced Bostonia.”
