Joseph R. Longo of Billerica and formerly of the North End on September 28, 2014. Beloved son of the late Salvatore and Maria T. (Romano) Longo. Loving husband of Sarah P. (Marinella) Longo. Beloved father of Salvatore J. Longo and his wife Ann of East Bridgewater, Anthony J. Longo and his wife Nancy of Everett, Maria T. Civetti and her late husband Jackie of Prudence Island, RI, Angel M. McCarthy and her husband Denny of Billerica, and Andrea Capachietti and her husband Louis of Winchester. Cherished grandfather of Amanda, Salvatore Jr, Jordana, Angelica, Joseph, Andrew, Joy, and Anthony II. Dear brother of Victoria Longo of North End, Louis Longo of Danvers, Frank Longo of Revere, Vincenza Casali of FL, Richard Longo of FL, Rosalie Indelcato of Revere, and Theresa Adams of Revere. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Boston Harborside Home, 580 Commercial St., Boston on Wednesday at 10am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, North Sq. at 11am. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

Past President of St. Rosalia Society and member of St. Mark Society. Donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to either: St. John School, 9 Moon St., Boston, MA 02113 or Sacred Heart Church, 12 North Sq., Boston, MA 02113.

  3. So sorry to hear of our dear friend, Joe, has died. Just reading about it now and am even more sorry that Sister Eileen and I (Ginny) missed his wake and funeral…we go back so many years together working for St. John School. Joe was so devoted to SJS and Sacred Heart Church…RIP, Joe
