Heavens Open Up as Statue of Saint Anthony Arrives Home to Downpour of Rain and Confetti

For its grand finale, the statue of Sant’ Antonio was met with the usual confetti guns, but also a heavy rain downpour. The storm largely cleared feast visitors from the street leaving dedicated society members to carry the money-filled statue back to its home on Endicott Street.

Shown above, St. Anthony’s Club members pose for a group photo before the final leg of the Grand Procession in the pouring rain. At the bandstand, shown below, colored confetti showers devotees amid the wet streets as the donation-covered statue of St. Anthony arrives home.

Earlier in the day, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh pinned a donation on the statue of Saint Anthony, shown below.
