6:00pm 78-80 Salem St. – Sushi Rock Abutters Meeting
Join abutters on the sidewalk at Sushi Rock who is seeking a beer/wine and cordial liquor license transfer.

12:00pm Exhibit: Tony DeMarco at the Boston Garden – The West End Museum
[150 Staniford Street Suite 7, Boston]  Free and open to the public during regular Museum hours: the exhibit will feature photographs of boxing champ Tony DeMarco’s many matches at the old Boston Garden. The former Welterweight Champion of the World, DeMarco grew up in Boston’s North End. Runs through November 1st – no registration required. Free and open to the public during regular Museum hours.

Sundown – Rosh Hashanah Begins

6:30pm The Best Workman in the Shop: Cabinetmaker William Monroe of Concord, Massachusetts
[Old South Meeting House: 310 Washington Street, at the corner of Milk Street, in downtown Boston]  Paul Revere House: In June, 1800, 21 year-old cabinetmaker William Munroe arrived in Concord with a set of tools and $3.40 in cash. Forty years later he proudly recorded having more than $20,000 in assets, a remarkable achievement for a craftsman.

6:00pm “Legendary Locals of Beacon Hill” Book Talk at West End Library
Legendary Locals of Beacon Hill, a book of photographs and stories about the people who have helped Beacon Hill begin, grow, prosper and make it the historic, walkable, friendly, quirky place where author Karen Cord Taylor has lived for decades.

6:30pm Old North Speaker Series: William Kuhn [Old North Church, 193 Salem St, Boston]
William Kuhn: When the Defender of the Faith Takes the Train Part book club, part lecture, don’t miss the chance to read this hilarious book and discuss it with the author! Christ Church in the City of Boston was founded as an Anglican Church in 1723, with direct ties to King George II and III. Although Old North established religious independence from Britain after the Revolution by becoming an Episcopal Church, Britain’s influence on this church survives to this day. Register for free tickets here.

Open House to celebrate the grand opening celebration of Bow & Arrow. The event is open to the public and is free for all ages to attend.
