Summer on the Waterfront Bringing Fireworks Back to Boston Harbor on Saturday, August 30, 2014

Summer on the Waterfront is once again bringing fireworks back to Boston Harbor for an end of summer celebration over Labor Day weekend on Saturday, August 30, 2014, 9:00 p.m. Lead sponsor is Boston Harbor Cruises with support from the Boston Harbor Hotel, Boston Globe and City of Boston.

This is the second year that SOTW has organized the fireworks display coinciding with the annual Boston “Ahts” Festival at Christopher Columbus Park and the big St. Anthony’s Feast on Endicott Street in Boston’s North End.

Almost anywhere on Boston’s waterfront should have a good view as the Atlas Pyrovision fireworks barge will be located off Fan Pier at the Seaport.

“Canoe Man” is Back on the North End Waterfront

Last summer, several North End waterfront residents experienced “canoe man” who rides the harbor in his canoe and gets off at various docks to do karate moves. He also tends to scream at people passing by. A neighbor sends in this first sighting of canoe man for the 2014 season. Here’s to the summer season!
