  1. WHERE ARE THE POLICE BETWEEN MIDNIGHT & 4 A.M. IN THE MORNING? OUR ELDERLY
IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD HAVE SLEEPLESS WEEKEND NIGHTS. THIS IS A FORM OF.
ELDERLY ABUSE. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCARED & THAT SHOULD NEVER BE, THE NORTH.
END HAS BEEN THEIR HOME FOR OVER 50-70 YEARS & THE NEWCOMERS HAVE NO.
RESPECT OR REGARD FOR THESE POOR ELDERLY PEOPLE. ALWAYS REMEMBER,
WE DIDN’T MOVE INTO THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD, THEY MOVED INTO OURS. IF THE
NORTH END PEOPLE STUCK TOGETHER LIKE BEACON HILL & SO. BOSTON, YOU WOULD.
    SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE.

  2. Allowing landlords to rent to college students without accountability is one issue. I have to agree with Marie’s comment. Between the noise and the trash and lack of caring about the neighborhood is upsetting. We need enough people to complain to make a difference.

  3. DARIEL, THANK YOU SO MUCH. THE POLICE HAD IT VERY EASY, BECAUSE THE SO-CALLED.
MAFIA, CASA NOSTRA, GANGSTERS, WHATEVER YOU WANT TO REFER TO THEM AS.
DID A MUCH BETTER JOB OF CONTROLLING THIS NEIGHBORHOOD, SORRY TO SAY.
THE POLICE WERE ON VACATION FOR 50 YEARS OR BETTER, NOW THAT WE NEED THEM.
TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE, THEY THINK “1” POLICEMAN OR EVEN “2” CAN HANDLE.
THIS NEIGHBORHOOD ON WEEKEND NIGHTS, THEY ARE OUT OF THEIR MINDS.
OUR POLICEMEN , FROM HANOVER ST ROOFTOPS, HAVE BEEN URINATED ON, HAD BEER.
CANS OR BOTTLES THROWN AT THEM, ALONG WITH CIGARETTE BUTTS. THIS COULD
NEVER HAPPEN IN NEW YORK CITY, AND CERTAINLY COULDN’T HAPPEN IN RUSSIA.
OR KOREA. THE POLICE SEEM TO THINK THAT QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUES ARE NOT THAT.
BIG OF A DEAL, BECAUSE THEY ARE FIGHTING MORE SERIOUS THINGS IN THE THEATER.
DISTRICT, BACK BAY, ETC. WHERE ALL THE NITE CLUBS ARE, THEREFORE, OUR.
ELDERLY SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE IN FEAR. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER 20 YEARS.
NOW, AND SOME ELDERLY WERE EVEN THREATENED TO GO BACK IN THEIR HOUSES IF.
THEY COMPLAINED ABOUT NOISE OR ELSE. THAT INCIDENT TOOK PLACE ON SHEAFE.
ST. LIKE I SAID, BEACON HILL & SO. BOSTON STICK TOGETHER AND THAT IS WHY.
THEY ARE SO SUCCESSFUL IN GETTING WHAT THEY WANT.

  4. Very good point made regarding the difference between The North End and Beacon Hill. While very close in proximity, they are a world apart when it comes to services provided by City Hall. Recent stories about the pseudo-aristocrats on Beacon Hill and their opposition to ramps for the disabled is a clear illustration. Some of these Bostonians actually believe that such a proposal to assist those confined to a wheelchair is not as important as the preservation of “the neighborhood”. Then we have the long time residents of the North End who must endure continuous inaction from the same City Hall when it comes to the very services that can have them enjoying some of the tranquility that those up the street experience. It appears to me that it just comes down to what Zip Code you have.
