5:30pm North2South Baseball Classic at Langone Park
For the fifth straight year, the Little League organizations of both neighborhoods (NEAA & South End Baseball) will play a home and home all-star game type series. The South End leads the series 5-2-1, which included a sweep last season.
6:00pm Ramp Parcel Study Meeting at Boston City Hall, 9th Floor
Staff from MassDOT and the BRA, along with their consultant team, will provide an introduction to the Ramp Parcel Study. The Ramp Parcel Study will review the current conditions of Central Artery/Tunnel Parcels 6, 12, and 18 as part of the state requirement to cover the ramps, and provide recommendations for each parcel’s permanent surface treatment. This first meeting will also offer the public an opportunity to begin to share their vision for the ramp parcels.

Free Boot Camp exercise classes in the park, sponsored by the City of Boston.
11:00am 9th Annual Agrippina Fagone Scaduto Bender Reading Party at North End Library, 25 Parmenter St
Families and children of all ages are invited to enjoy lively songs and stories celebrating the joy of reading and the power of books with Mary Jo Maichack. Every child will receive a free book and light refreshments will be served.

6:30pm NEAA All-Star Game Honoring Dom Campochiaro [Langone Park, Commercial Street, Boston]
The NEAA will be honoring Domenic Campochiaro at the NEAA Allstar Game. Dom has volunteered as a coach and mentor for over 50 years. This past year he has stopped doing the clinic program. The NEAA is looking for sponsors for the 2014 All Star Game. There will be pizza, soft drinks, chips, cookies for all. Players hats, special awards and a raffle. The Game will be played in honor of Domenic Campochiaro. Donations of any amount can be made to the NEAA and mailed to: NEAA c/o John Romano/Allstars 30 North Bennet St Boston, Mass. 02113.

Parade through Columbus Park to kick off our Independence Day Celebration, complete with Uncle Sam on Stilts. Event scheduled to last from 11am to 3pm.
1:00pm Summer Saturdays: The Tailor’s Craft 19 N Square, Boston
Clothing historian Henry Cooke takes on the role of an early Boston tailor. Watch as he “takes the measure” of visitors, then sits cross-legged, fashioning waistcoats from luxurious fabrics and “slops” from coarse weaves. (Weather permitting)
