Search for Missing North End Resident, Eric Munsell, Not Seen Since Saturday Night

Family and Boston Police are searching for Eric Munsell, a North End resident, who has gone missing.

He was last seen at 11:30 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Market Lounge, a downtown bar on Broad Street.

Eric is 24 years old, 6’0″, 165 lbs, and was wearing jeans and a striped button down shirt.

A recent graduate of Boston University, he works as an engineer at General Electric.

  1. It is unfortunate the bar did not let him get his coat on such a frigid night…not real responsible. Sounds like the bouncer(s) may have overreacted. Based on all the reviews on Yelp and elsewhere it sounds like this has been a pattern at this bar… coats not being returned on frigid nights with complete disregard for people’s well-being as well as bouncers that are a little too intense and on a power trip. Not smart when someone has been drinking to toss them out without their jacket. I have never been at that club and do not live in Boston but it sounds like there should be some accountability on their part in my opinion. I hope this does not turn out badly but with each passing day it looks less positive. I feel very sad for his family and friends.

  5. Like momthatcares said: I agree. The Yelp reviews of the venue seem to report a pattern of overzealous bouncers and inconsiderate handling of patrons. There must be some accountability to be held there. I can only imagine the worst of a poor, innocent kid without a coat on a freezing night, likely tipsy (deservedly – it was his birthday!) in that sketchy area of the city. He definitely does not seem to fit the profile of an immature “bro” which might have deserved that kind of treatment. I hope for the best, but fear the worst 🙁
    My heart goes out to his family and loved ones….
