A fun day of holiday celebrating, Toys for Tots and ice skating made up the 6th annual Santa Skate & Toy Drive, sponsored by the North End Columbus Day Celebration Committee. The largest neighborhood skating event of the season was held at the Steriti Skating Rink in the North End on Saturday, December 7, 2013.
An enormous pile of toys was collected while holiday tunes played during the free skating event. Photos with Santa “Scott Mitchell” Claus was a big hit with kids of all ages. There also was a raffle with several prizes that contributed to the cause.
