Events This Week Feature Public Meetings and Holiday Celebrations

Tired from dealing with the snow? Christmas is right around the corner, stop by some of these events this week that’ll be sure to put you in the holiday spirit. The roads are a mess and the sidewalks are covered with ice, but by the time these events start the commute should be a breeze!

Monday, December 16

4:00pm NEMPAC Recital at ABCD center (map)
1 Michelangelo Street Boston, MA 02113. The NEMPAC students spread holiday cheer!private music instruction students (PMI) will be performing an outreach recital at the ABCD center. All are welcome to come hear the songs of the holiday season! Visit NEMPACBoston.org for more details.

6:00pm Public Meeting on Redesign of Union Street and the Blackstone Block
Boston City Hall, 9th floor BRA Board Room 900. The meeting will cover the concept design for Union Street and the “Blackstone Block” as part of the Connect Historic Boston initiative. Visit ConnectHistoric-Boston.org for more information.

Tuesday, December 17

3:30pm Reading: How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Don’t miss this free event at the Nazzaro Center, the reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas each session will be running approximately 60 minutes. Aimed for ages 3-10 but the event is appropriate and open to all ages. Dress as your favorite Whoville character!  View Flyer Here

6:00pm Public Meeting for the Design of Causeway and Staniford Streets

Wednesday, December 18

Nazzaro Center Holiday Party at 30 N. Bennet St
Nazzaro Center is throwing a holiday party for all the children of the North End with toys donated by the North End Chamber of Commerce! The NECC also distributed Stop & Shop gift cards to the Nazzaro Center, Father Antonio and the St. John School.

10:00am E-ZPass Sign-up at Nazzaro Center (30 N. Bennet St)
MassDOT has scheduled an upcoming E-ZPass sign-up session ahead of the transition to All Electronic Tolling on the Tobin Bridge. The E-ZPass Street Team will be enrolling new customers in the E-ZPass program. Read more at the Event Post

6:00pm Public Meeting – Cycle Track on Atlantic Ave / Commercial St at Nazzaro Center, 30 N. Bennet St.
The City of Boston will present a Revised Concept Plan for Atlantic Avenue/ Commercial Street (from Christopher Columbus Park to Hull Street) in the North End as part of the Connect Historic Boston initiative.
