North End Seniors Enjoy Bus Trip to Newport

A group of North End seniors enjoyed spending Monday on a Newport, RI bus trip visiting the slots parlor there. The trip was organized by Bobby Church and sponsored by local officials including City Councilor Sal LaMattina, State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz and State Senator Anthony Pettruccelli. North End Against Drugs recently provided a barbecue for Ida DePasquale’s North End Younger Seniors club. Fifty of the club’s members were treated to hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, chips and water. Nazzaro Senior Events: Walking Club, Knitting, Chair Yoga

The Nazzaro Center is offering new programs for seniors (55+). There will be walking club on Tuesdays from 11am – 12pm, knitting/crocheting on Thursdays from 11am – 12:30pm, and chair yoga on Fridays from 11am – 12pm.
